Job summary

H2ajobs seeks an individual to operate agricultural machinery across reception, hauling, packing, and bulk sealing of harvested forage. The role includes soil leveling, pen conditioning, and sanitation, plus assembling livestock equipment and preparing maneuver areas for incoming dry cows.

You will also transport products to silos for storage and processing. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 months of equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to read maps and perform

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience operating agricultural equipment.
• Valid, regular driver's license or ability to obtain one within one week of hire.
• Ability to read and write, and follow maps for road and field boundaries.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment maintenance and daily upkeep.

Job description

Operate agricultural machinery to handle reception, hauling, packing, and bulk sealing of harvested forage. Operate agricultural machinery for soil leveling, pen conditioning, and sanitation. Assemble and install prefabricated livestock equipment (waterers, feeders) and clear operational maneuver areas to prepare for the incoming dry cows (non-lactating livestock). Transport farm products to silos for storage and processing.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: All housing includes kitchen equipped with stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator.

Transport: After 50% of contract period is completed, employer reimburses reasonable costs for transportation and daily subsistence during travel to the place of employment, for the most economical and reasonable common carrier.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Must have at least 3 months experience operating agricultural equipment. Must have valid, regular driver's license or be able to obtain one with in one week of hire. Ability to read and write and follow maps for road and field boundaries. Ability to troubleshoot and conduct relatively minor equipment repairs and daily maintenance. Minimum driving experience with either automobile, truck or motorized vehicle. Must have basic comprehension of highway safety to facilitate the moving of equipment between fields on public roadways.
