What you’ll do as an Operator Telecom Drill Bores

• Safely operate drill equipment on the jobsite, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment and hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Handle site setup and cleanup
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from trucks
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to construction
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers; flag traffic when necessary

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Experience with drilling equipment and understanding their capabilities and limitations
• Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely
• Experience with drill setup and design processes (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Previous construction or utility construction experience (preferred)
• Willingness to work remotely, including long drives and sitting for extended periods

Additional qualifications (if applicable)

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work overtime, after hours, weekends, or emergencies
• Valid Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
• Acceptable MVR record as per company standards

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations and confined spaces, operate heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift over 55 pounds, and have good vision and focus adjustments.
• Occasionally: Exposure to chemicals and moving machinery parts.

Salary Range

$22.00 - $26.00/hr (based on experience)
