What you’ll do as a Operator Telecom Drill Bores

• Safely operate drill equipment on the jobsite, which may include but is not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment and hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Set up and clean up the site
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks
• Participate in new site Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers; perform flagging as needed

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Experience with drilling equipment, understanding their capabilities and limitations
• Proficiency with locators to identify utilities safely
• Experience with drill setup and design processes (preferred)
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Previous construction or utility construction experience (preferred)
• Remote work may be required; long drives and sitting for extended periods

Additional qualifications (if applicable)

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, for emergencies or on-call
• Valid Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
• Acceptable MVR record as per company standards

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations and confined spaces, operate heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift over 55 pounds, and have close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, with focus adjustment as needed.
• Occasionally: Exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals and moving machinery parts.

Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hr (based on experience)
