What you’ll do as an Operator Telecom Drill Bores

• Safely operate drill equipment on-site, including but not limited to Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment and hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule
• Handle site setup and cleanup
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment from trucks
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before starting construction
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, barriers, and flag traffic when necessary

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Experience with drilling equipment, understanding their capabilities and limitations
• Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely
• Experience with drill setup and design is a plus
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
• Previous construction or utility construction experience is preferred
• Remote work, long driving, and sitting may be required

Additional qualifications (if applicable)

• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, for emergencies or on-call
• Valid Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
• Acceptable MVR record as per company standards

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations and confined spaces, operate vehicles and heavy machinery, perform fine hand motions, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift over 55 pounds, with good vision including color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Occasionally: Exposure to chemicals and moving machinery parts

Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hr (based on experience)
