Job Description

This role involves performing hands-on construction labor on a golf course, focusing on the removal of old asphalt, hauling materials off site, and repaving cart paths to improve the overall condition and usability of the course.

Responsibilities

• Remove old asphalt from golf course cart paths using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Load, haul, and unload construction materials and debris from the work site in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist with repaving cart paths, including surface preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
• Operate construction equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and mini excavators as directed and in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Support general construction and landscaping tasks around the golf course as needed.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety.
• Follow all site safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with a small team to complete daily tasks and meet project timelines.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of experience working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• At least 6 months of experience operating a telehandler or forklift.
• Experience performing general construction labor tasks.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and prolonged standing.
• Ability to operate basic construction tools and equipment safely.
• Reliability and willingness to work outside 100% of the time.

Work Environment

You work outdoors 100% of the time on a golf course within a team of approximately 45 people. The role involves active construction and landscaping tasks in varying weather conditions. Appropriate work attire includes sturdy work boots and clothing suited to the weather. Required personal protective equipment includes a high-visibility vest, which must be worn on site to maintain safety and visibility.

This is a Contract position based out of Verona, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
