Job summary

Jackson County, Missouri seeks a Parks + Rec Maintenance Worker in Lee's Summit to support foremen and supervisors with project management, operate maintenance equipment, and perform asset and infrastructure improvements. Daily tasks follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years in a related role, and a Class A CDL with air brake endorsement within six months where applicable, plus must pass a background and drug screen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience in an industry related position or craft.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement within six months of hire, when applicable.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist Foreman and/or Supervisors with project management to ensure timely completion.
• Operate specialized maintenance equipment and handheld equipment, hand tools, and other power equipment.
• Perform asset and infrastructure improvements and manual labor as necessary.
• Perform daily maintenance according to equipment operator’s manual or standard operating procedure.
