Maryland Environmental Service seeks an Equipment Operator Trainee or Equipment Operator for the Oaks Landfill in Derwood, MD. Primary duties include operating equipment to collect recycling carts and to haul residential and commercial waste across Montgomery County.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass a physical exam and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with fewer than 5 points.
• Environmental Operations Trainee requires no experience; Environmental Operator requires 1 year of experience.
• Preferred: knowledge of Montgomery County and driver/delivery experience.
• Experience using GPS, email and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate equipment while picking up and delivering recycling carts.
• Pick up and haul residential and commercial solid waste in Montgomery County.
