Job summary

Prince George’s County Government seeks an entry to full-performance level position performing unskilled, physically demanding manual labor. Work is supervised, and the role is designated essential under DoE Instruction 110.4.

Primary duties include bulky trash collection and related maintenance within the Department of the Environment. This role requires minimal formal education (six grades) with preferred possession of a driver’s license; interview dates are subject to change.

Qualifications

• Minimum: completion of six (6) school grades.
• Preferred: possession of a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual work in the collection of bulky trash items and household refuse.
• Operates as a member of the Bulky Trash Collection crew under supervision.
• Operate light automotive equipment such as lift gates and compactors.
• Clean up and remove trash and debris from landfill property and roadways.
• Assist with household refuse collection and trash can handling as directed.
• Participate in Comprehensive Community Cleanups as assigned.
• Adhere to anti-scavenging policies and safety training requirements.
