Job summary

The role requires 1+ year of relevant experience in aggregate, construction, or mining environments and a strong mechanical aptitude. Training others on safe operation techniques and participating in PMs and inspections are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience (Technical training preferred).
• 1+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in aggregates/mining environments.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong safety focus with MSHA compliance and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment to transport raw materials from the pit to the plant at maximum loading capacity.
• Adjust equipment settings and SOPs to maximize throughput and minimize cycle times.
• Coordinate equipment positioning and sequencing to support site supervisors in optimizing production flows.
• Ensure all cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements, preventing spills and maintaining vehicle stability.
• Strictly adhere to MSHA safety rules and Guardian Angel programs.
• Maintain haul roads, berms, and loading areas to meet safety standards and site specifications.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform daily PMs including lubrication and fluid checks.
• Assist maintenance with plant repairs and equipment shutdowns as needed.
