Job summary

MMI Industrial & Steel is seeking an Equipment Operator II to support night shift fabrication operations. You will operate advanced fabrication equipment, interpret work instructions, and conduct quality checks to ensure accurate production.

This role emphasizes troubleshooting and precise calibration to meet work order requirements. The position requires experience with CNC plasma cutters, press brakes, and beam lines, along with the ability to work nights and collaborate with Equipment

Qualifications

• 2+ years in steel fabrication.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work orders.
• Experience with CNC machinery is a plus.
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC plasma cutters, press brakes, and beam lines.
• Read blueprints and work orders to determine specs.
• Perform in-process quality checks and verify dimensions.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Troubleshoot minor malfunctions and take corrective action.
• Calibrate machinery for precise measurements.
• Prepare equipment and materials for night production tasks.
• Assist in training Equipment Operator I personnel.
• Monitor job progress and report issues for escalation.
• Follow safety practices and operational standards.
