Job summary

MMI Industrial & Steel is seeking an Equipment Operator II to support night shift fabrication operations. You will operate advanced fabrication machinery, read blueprints, and ensure quality while maintaining production pace.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating CNC plasma cutters, press brakes, and beam lines, performing setup changes, and training Equipment Operator I personnel. The role requires strong precision and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Knowledge of CNC machinery including plasma cutters, press brakes, and beam lines.
• Ability to set up, calibrate, and adjust machinery for accurate production.
• Experience troubleshooting minor equipment issues.
• Strong precision and measurement skills.
• Familiarity with steel grades and fabrication standards.
• Experience working night shifts in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC plasma cutters, press brakes, and beam lines.
• Interpret blueprints and work orders to determine specifications.
• Perform in-process quality checks for dimensions and alignment.
• Calibrate machinery settings for repeatable results.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues following procedures.
• Prepare equipment for scheduled production tasks on night shift.
• Assist in training Equipment Operator I personnel.
• Maintain awareness of job progress and escalate issues.
• Follow safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.
