Job summary

Baltimorefab is seeking a Machine Operator to operate heavy fabrication machinery used in structural steel and metals fabrication in Baltimore, MD. The role involves handling CNC plasma machines, CNC beam lines, and other equipment to produce parts and track hole locations and dimensions.

You will be responsible for setting up equipment, ensuring accuracy in cuts and dimensions, and mentoring newer operators on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Operate heavy fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up manufacturing equipment and adjust settings as needed.
• Provide mentorship and on-the-job training for new or entry-level operators.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report issues promptly.

Job Summary:

Position includes operating heavy machinery used in the fabrication of structural steel and miscellaneous metals. Equipment types include but are not limited to CNC plasma machines, CNC beam lines, CNC band saw, standard band saws, angle master, sanders, press brake, pipe bender, ironworkers, overhead cranes, forklifts. Machine operators are responsible for creating large and small parts to be used in fabrication and track numbers, dimensions, location of holes and cuts and organizing parts.
