Job summary

City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX is seeking an Equipment Operator II / CDL to operate a variety of light to heavy equipment on construction and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience operating light, medium, and heavy equipment.
• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement from Texas DPS.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test at City of Edinburg expense.
• Satisfactory driving record and be insurable by city carrier.
• Hazardous Materials Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to heavy equipment for construction and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate maintenance and operation of city equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and minor repairs.
• Fill out daily reports, service requests, and inventory control forms.
• Respond to emergencies and hazardous situations as needed.
