Staunton City & Schools Public Works-Streets seeks an Equipment Operator I to join the Streets Division in Staunton, VA. The role involves routine operation of motorized equipment for street maintenance and construction, plus manual labor as needed.

Successful candidates will handle standby duties for sewer, water, and storm problems, respond to emergencies, and perform seasonal tasks such as leaf collection and snow removal.

Competenze

• Completion of the eighth grade or equivalent.
• Some experience in operating motorized equipment.
• CDL Class B license with tanker endorsement.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed.

• Operate motorized equipment related to street maintenance and construction.
• Perform manual labor as required by assignments.
