The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Equipment Operator I in the Street Department. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks, tractors and mowers and uses a variety of power and hand tools in maintaining City streets, culverts, right‑of‑way, storm sewers and other public property. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Previous experience with street and mowing equipment, including tractor, mower, and backhoe is desired. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable. Must have OK Commercial Class "B" w/Air Brakes. Must be at least 18 years old. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre‑employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
