Job summary

City of Midwest City is seeking an Equipment Operator I to perform street and public property maintenance, operating trucks, tractors, and mowers, and using power and hand tools to maintain city streets and public areas.

The role requires a valid Oklahoma driver’s license (Class B with Air Brakes) and is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug and alcohol screening; minimum age 18, with a HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable.
• OK Commercial Class "B" with Air Brakes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Safety/security sensitive position; subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field work routines.
