Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic laws and safe operation of trucks/equipment.
• Ability to operate trucks, tractors, and light equipment.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to judge roadworthiness per DOT regulations.
• Capable of strenuous manual labor in adverse weather.

Responsibilities

• Drives mid-size dump and tank trucks hauling materials, tools, and waste.
• Operates a wheeled tractor with a roller, grader, broom, plow, or mower attachment.
• Operates small asphalt heater, loader, patching rollers, and compression equipment.
• Acts as relief operator for distributors and loaders.
• Operates jackhammers and performs manual labor as required.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment (washing, oiling, greasing).
• Notifies supervisors of safety hazards or non-compliant vehicles.
• Transports vehicles to service facilities for repair.
• Keeps records of all deliveries.
• Transports workers and tools as needed.
