Job summary

Butterball in Mount Olive, NC is seeking a production operator responsible for setting up and operating machines safely and efficiently in the assigned department. You will run lines at line speeds, maintain equipment, and document performance to support quality and safety standards.

You will follow USDA and GMP guidelines, communicate with supervision, QA and maintenance, and maintain a clean, organized work area. A high school diploma and ability to pass checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical.
• Able to learn and operate multiple machines in a fast-paced plant.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production standards by efficiently running machines and equipment.
• Set up, operate, maintain and tear down equipment as instructed.
• Run product at line speed as scheduled by Production Supervisor.
• Maintain communication with Production Supervision, QA, and Maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures for startup, emergency stop and restart.
• Adhere to Lock Out–Tag Out and GMP/USDA guidelines.
• Observe equipment and report malfunctions or safety issues.
• Keep area clean and organized; cross-train as needed.
• Maintain equipment records accurately in logs or digital devices.
