Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) seeks a Transportation Worker 2 - Equipment Operator for the Disforce-Heavy Maintenance Headquarters in Randolph County. Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting 75 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery and highway equipment on projects.
• Conduct roadside maintenance such as patching, ditching, mowing, and sign work.
• Repair and maintain equipment; perform minor field repairs.
• Assist in bridge and culvert work and traffic control setup.
• Be available for emergency call-outs and shift variations during snow/ice operations.
