Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking skilled heavy equipment Operators to join the Texas Division. You will operate dozers, loaders, backhoes, scrapers, and related attachments on active construction sites, reading blueprints and following safety protocols.

This full-time role requires a HS diploma or GED and 3–5 years of field experience operating heavy machinery; more than five years preferred. Expect overtime and outdoor work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience operating dozer, loader, backhoe, scraper or compactor.
• Five+ years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand wheels, levers, and pedals to drive machines and attach blades, buckets, scrapers and booms.
• Grade or redistribute earth, aggregates, or materials for structures.
• Use GPS and laser levels to control elevation and slope.
• Inspect equipment for deficiencies and report conditions.
• Read blueprints and stake surveys to guide operations.
• Signal directions to coworkers and follow safety protocols.
