Job summary

Inframark's Operations and Maintenance team is an award-winning group delivering water, wastewater, and public works services to municipalities, utility districts, and industries. The Equipment Operator role supports field projects by operating machinery and vehicles while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a High school diploma or equivalent, 2–4 years of field equipment operation, and a CDL is preferred; knowledge of water/wastewater systems is a plus.

Summary Of Functions

The Equipment Operator (Operations) supports water, wastewater, and utility operations by operating equipment and vehicles for field projects.

Class B CDL Driver’s License with Air Brake Certification required

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate excavation, trenching, and lifting equipment.
• Assist with pipeline, water main, and wastewater system work.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of equipment.
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to sites.
• Support crews in utility operations and emergency response.

Organizational Relationships

• Reports to Operations Supervisor.
• Works with utility and operations crews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of utility or field equipment operation.
• CDL license preferred.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater systems a plus.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting up to 60 lbs and climbing.
• Prolonged equipment use in variable conditions.

Work Environment

• Outdoor utility and operations environments.
• Exposure to water, wastewater, and construction sites.

Travel

• Local travel for utility operations.
