The Equipment Operator will use various equipment based on project needs and the employee’s experience, following supervisor instructions and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior construction equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate equipment around crew members and other jobsite activity.
• dependable attendance and a commitment to working safely.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• A valid driver’s license is required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of construction work including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers, and other equipment as qualified.
• Complete pre-use equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow supervisor instructions, project plans, JSAs, and all safety requirements.
• Work with crew members to support excavation, grading, material handling, and other construction activities.
• Maintain awareness of workers, vehicles, underground utilities, and changing jobsite conditions.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
