Job summary

CD&H, Inc. is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator to support civil, industrial, and refinery construction projects on a traveling basis.

This position requires willingness to work at different project locations as assigned. You will safely operate construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers and other equipment; assist the crew with daily tasks; and help maintain a clean and organized jobsite.

Qualifications

• Prior construction equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to operate around crew and other activity safely.
• Ability to travel to project locations and follow project schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers and other equipment as qualified.
• Complete pre-use equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow supervisor instructions, JSAs, and all safety requirements.
• Work with crew to support excavation, grading, material handling, and other activities.
• Maintain awareness of workers, vehicles, underground utilities, and changing site conditions.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

CD&H is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator to support civil, industrial, and refinery construction projects. This is a traveling position, and the operator must be willing to work at different project locations as assigned.

The Equipment Operator will safely operate construction equipment, assist the crew with daily work, and help maintain a clean and organized jobsite. The specific equipment used will vary based on project needs and the employee’s experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, rollers, and other equipment as qualified.
• Complete pre-use equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow supervisor instructions, project plans, job safety analyses (JSAs), and all company and client safety requirements.
• Work with crew members to support excavation, grading, material handling, and other construction activities.
• Maintain awareness of workers, vehicles, underground utilities, and changing jobsite conditions.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous construction equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate equipment around crew members and other jobsite activity.
• Willingness to travel to project locations and work the schedule required by the project.
• Dependable attendance and a commitment to working safely.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• A valid driver’s license is required. A CDL is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of construction work, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting as needed.
