Qualifications

• Requires one year of experience operating small/medium equipment and vehicles.
• A Class E driver’s license is required at time of hire; CDL Class B required within 10 months; CDL permit within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor maintenance and servicing on equipment; checks/adjusts brakes and tires; cleans and washes equipment.
• Operates vehicles and various equipment after CDL permit, including dump trucks, loaders, graders, and asphalt repair trucks for bridge/roadway work.
• Uses hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools to maintain bridges and roadways.
• Performs tree trimming, carpentry, masonry, painting and assists in erection of highway signs.
• Performs Temporary Traffic Control and assists with crew activity reports as needed.
