Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Equipment Operator A to support maintenance and daily operations at Fort Indiantown Gap. The role involves outdoor work, operating vehicles and equipment, and contributing to mission readiness as part of a dedicated team.

You will adhere to safety procedures, participate in snow removal, and assist with minor repairs while pursuing a CDL upgrade during the first six months after hire. This is a full-time position with standard government schedules.

Qualifications

• Six months experience operating and maintaining large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks (GVW 10,001+ lbs) or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Valid Class C Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit at hire and complete Class A CDL within six months.
• Conditional offer requires passing NCIC background screening for Fort Indiantown Gap.
• Conditional offer requires a medical examination and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and machinery for transport, construction, and grounds work.
• Perform grounds maintenance using mowers, trimmers and related tools.
• Participate in snow removal operations during assigned shifts.
• Use hand and power tools for labor tasks and select appropriate tools.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
