Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Equipment Operator A to support Fort Indiantown Gap’s maintenance and daily operations. You will operate equipment, perform outdoor grounds work, and assist with basic repairs while adhering to safety practices.

The role involves outdoor duties, a full-time schedule, and a focus on mission readiness. A Class C PA driver's license is required, with additional CDL requirements and background checks as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Six months experience operating and maintaining large vans, buses, or trucks over 10,001 lbs.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may apply.
• Must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Conditional offer requires NCIC screening and medical/drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and machinery for transport, construction, and grounds work.
• Maintain outdoor areas: mow, trim, and routine tasks.
• Participate in snow operations as scheduled during shifts.
• Use hand and power tools for various labor tasks and select proper tools.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
• Assist mechanics with minor maintenance tasks on equipment.
