We are currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for all new, full-time employees ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months).

Overview:

This position involves general heavy equipment operation for construction. Drilling equipment operators can operate a variety of equipment used in installation, repair, and maintenance activities related to underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate drill equipment on the jobsite, including but not limited to: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (for moving equipment or hauling water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer.
2. Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite.
3. Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
4. Set up and clean up the site.
5. Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment.
6. Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) before starting construction.
7. Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, barriers, and flag traffic as needed.
8. Follow instructions accurately.

Qualifications:

1. Experience with drilling equipment, understanding their capabilities and limitations.
2. Experience with drill setup and design processes.
3. Ability to use small tools and read work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.
4. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
5. Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
6. Proficiency in using locators to identify utilities safely.
7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
8. Safety-conscious attitude.
9. Availability to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders and machinery, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks involving standing, crouching, sitting, bending, and reaching. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, and moving machinery is possible.
