About the role

As an Equipment Operator at Reworld, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse using a variety of industrial equipment at our facility.

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as forklifts, track hoes, skid steers, vacuum trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, walking floor trailers, pressure washers, and material handling tools

• Receive, weigh, unpack, and label inbound containers

• Safely consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor

• Maintain housekeeping standards within assigned areas and throughout the facility

• Perform exterior site maintenance including litter collection, painting, snow removal, and ice prevention

• Manage traffic control for incoming and outgoing trucks

• Assist mechanics with equipment repairs as needed

• Support other operational tasks as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment experience in an OSHA-regulated environment

• Valid driver's license

• Massachusetts 2A Hydraulics License required

• Willingness and ability to learn and operate multiple types of equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic tool skills

• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces or at heights

• Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator

• Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
