Job summary

Kaweah Delta Water Conservation District in California is seeking a reliable Equipment Operator with at least 5 years of experience operating excavators, tractors, loaders and similar heavy machinery. The role requires daily maintenance of equipment and minor repairs to ensure safety and uptime.

Job description

Kaweah Delta Water Conservation District (District), a District dedicated to groundwater recharge, flood water management and surface water facility maintenance, is looking to hire a reliable and experienced Equipment Operator.

Applicants must be skilled in the operation of a wide range of heavy, earthmoving machinery and must be able to maintain equipment daily and perform minor repairs when necessary to ensure safety and proper upkeep. A minimum of 5 years experience is necessary; including but not limited to operating excavators, tractors, loaders, and similar pieces of equipment. The candidate must be reliable, trustworthy and a good timekeeper and be willing to work overtime when required. Possession of both a California Class A and Class C License are also requirements.

Wages for this position will depend on qualifications and experience. Starting salary range is $25-$27/hour. CalPERS & fully paid health benefits provided to the employee.

Salary/Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
