GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the care and maintenance of the golf course and its surroundings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
2. Perform daily maintenance tasks such as cup changing, divot repair, moving tee markers, etc.
3. Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs upon completion of training.
4. Mechanically rake and/or hand rake bunkers.
5. Operate small equipment such as sod cutters, string trimmers, and hedge trimmers.
6. Assist with special projects including drainage, irrigation, and sod laying.
7. Maintain landscaped areas through cleaning and planting.
8. Perform daily equipment maintenance, including checking and adding fluids, oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, and tire pressure. Ensure equipment is cleaned regularly and report issues to the mechanic.
9. Report irregularities in the turf quality of the course.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES

Valid TN Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Walking and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (more with assistance).
