Job summary

Dotlich Trucking & Excavating, Inc. is seeking a skilled equipment operator to run excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers and compactors on mass excavation and grading projects.

You will work from plans, GPS and grade stakes to excavate, grade and backfill on commercial pads, roadways, parking lots and utility trenches. You must be able to read grade stakes and site plans; GPS machine-control experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating heavy equipment on excavation or site-work projects.
• Ability to read grade stakes and site plans; GPS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, skid steers and compactors.
• Mass excavation, cut and fill, and fine grading to plan.
• Trench and backfill for water, sanitary and storm installs.
• Perform daily walk-around inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work with foreman to keep crew safe and on schedule.

Operators run the iron that moves our projects. You'll excavate, grade and backfill on commercial pads, roadways, parking lots and utility trenches, working from plans, GPS and grade stakes.

• Two or more years running heavy equipment on excavation or site-work projects
• Able to read grade stakes and site plans; GPS machine-control experience a plus
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and occasional overtime
