Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction in Idaho is seeking an Equipment Operator to run multiple heavy machines on site, including track hoe, dozer, and loader, to prepare and grade terrain to project specifications.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, perform light maintenance, adhere to safety rules, and collaborate with a team. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are preferred, with 3–7 years of experience and willingness to work overtime or weekends.

Equipment Operator will be responsible to operate multiple types of heavy equipment that could include loader, track hoe, dozer and other equipment necessary on the job site to assist with moving of materials, digging holes and trenches, transports earth and gravel, and to push trees and rocks. Equipment Operators will also be expected to perform physically laborer work when necessary. Many of these jobs are not full time, the size of the project and organization of the work determining whether a worker spends all his time on one job or is transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion. Some workers habitually work in one branch of the industry, whereas others transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion or according to the availability of work or on a seasonal basis. Workers may be designated according to specific work performed.

Position Description

Operate multiple types of heavy equipment—track hoe, dozer, loader, and more—to prepare job sites, grade terrain, and meet project specifications.

Position Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 3-7 years of Heavy Equipment Operating Experience with multiple types of equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willing to do laborer work
  • Ability to work as a Team Member and work in a professional manner and a positive attitude
  • Motivated self-starter and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.
  • Frequent gross body movements such as bending, climbing into equipment, lifting (up to 75lbs), twisting, standing, balancing, stooping, handling materials, moving around hazardous sites.
  • Good Eye to Hand coordination a must. Depth perception required.
  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken works and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response
