Join to apply for the Equipment Operator role at SA Recycling.

SA Recycling, a world leader in metals recycling and processing, is seeking a diligent, reliable individual for the Equipment Operator position. Responsibilities include safely operating heavy equipment (front end loaders and/or material handlers) to load/unload containers and trailers, and move scrap metal and materials within the yard.

This outdoor role requires working in varying weather conditions and adhering to all safety, health, and environmental standards.

Working hours are from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and 6:30 am to noon on Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment
• Monitor equipment condition to ensure operational readiness
• Verify load weights to prevent overloads
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently for various yard tasks
• Assist in yard organization to meet production goals
• Conduct routine maintenance (fueling, lubricating, cleaning)
• Report concerns or repairs to supervisor
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience with front end loaders or material handlers preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Willingness to learn new tasks
