Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking an Assistant Director, Athletic Equipment Operations to support team practices, game management, and equipment operations across assigned sports. This role coordinates locker rooms, laundry, and inventory, ensuring uniforms and gear are ready for competitions and practices.

You will work with coaches and staff to optimize facilities, manage budgets, and oversee compliance with NCAA game operations guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in athletic equipment operations or a related area.
• Ability to manage budgets, inventories and facilities for multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee practices, locker rooms and arena equipment room operations including laundry and setup.
• Maintain equipment inventories and budgets; ensure timely replenishment and issue resolution.
• Manage all laundry and locker room operations for assigned teams.
• Coordinate with coaches and staff to provide a professional atmosphere for events.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA game operations guidelines and university policies.
• Oversee facility setup and takedown for scheduled activities and games.
• Establish internal controls and ensure staff training on policies and procedures.
• Contribute to strategic planning aligning department goals with university objectives.
