Job summary

The University of Southern California Athletics department seeks an Assistant Director of Equipment Operations to oversee day-to-day equipment and apparel services for assigned sports programs. This role requires coordinating inventory, handling laundry, and transporting gear for teams, while serving as a liaison with staff and student-athletes.

The position is non-exempt and may require weekend, evening, and holiday work; a bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in a college equipment room

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience in a college or professional equipment room.
• AEMA certification required or obtainable within one year.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 100+ lbs.
• Valid driver's license and DMV Pull Notice.
• Experience in higher education or sports environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment and apparel services to support intercollegiate programs.
• Manage inventory, laundry cycles, and equipment distribution.
• Serve as primary contact for on-field needs during team games.
• Assist with packing, travel, and maintenance of equipment.
