Pay: $29-33/hr depending on experience and skill

Depending on qualifications, the job level may be adjusted for more experienced candidates.

The Ideal Background:

• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy equipment like MRAP vehicles, HMEE, tanks; or aircraft and aerospace, ground support equipment (AGE/GSE), or similar
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician focusing on heavy equipment
• Education in mechanics, electrical, and hydraulic systems

The Job Responsibilities:

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Use technical support resources (operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, procedures, and parts identification
• Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow all safety practices and procedures
• Communicate effectively with supervisors about any issues affecting customer relationships
• Accurately complete all required documentation

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift objects/tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling
• High dexterity
• Provide basic tools as per Altec policy
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
