Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a candidate with mechanical knowledge and communication skills to join our team as an Equipment Mechanic in the shop. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956. More information about us can be found below or on our website at www.hugghall.com.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Equipment Mechanics / Shop Service Techs are part of the Service team and are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment.

In this role, you will:

  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to ensure operational and safety standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers regarding downtime and job progress.
  • Operate safely and efficiently with minimal supervision to reduce equipment downtime while maintaining safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical training, education, or experience in a related field
  • Possession or ability to obtain a complete set of tools
  • Above-average communication skills
  • Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications
  • Ability to read or be trained to read schematics
  • High school diploma or equivalent
SUCCESS SKILLS
  • Knowledge of operating various equipment
  • Accuracy and timeliness in duties
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
RELATED EXPERIENCE
