Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician for our wafer fabrication facility in Palm Bay, Florida. This full-time, regular role requires a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a background in diffusion equipment and semiconductor manufacturing.

The position runs a night shift on a compressed 3-2-4 schedule (7pm–7am) with weekends off, and offers opportunities for growth within a leading analog semiconductor company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment.
• 5+ years in semiconductor-manufacturing environment; Equipment Maintenance field.
• Able to troubleshoot complex equipment problems and define solutions.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Experience with electromechanical installation, operation, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of SPC in manufacturing environment.
• Able to work with 120/240/480 VAC electrical systems.

Equipment Maintenance Technician (Diffusion-Nights)

Renesas Electronics is looking for an experienced technician to fill the role of Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician supporting our wafer fabrication facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors.

A night shift position, and hours are on a compressed work week, 3 days- 7pm to 7am one week (Mon, Tue & Wed), and 4 days the next week (Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur). Every weekend off.

Education Requirements:

• AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

Experience Requirements / Skills:

• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment: Thermco TMX 9000/10000, SVG VTR 6000/7000
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a semiconductor-manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Equipment Maintenance Field.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems; define and implement solutions.
• Strong mechanical skills:
• Demonstrable knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems
• Strong electronic skills:
• Understanding and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated knowledge in how to approach installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge in diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment by utilizing electrical repair procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Must have knowledge of SPC and know how it is used and implemented in the manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work on complex electrical systems, to include 120, 240, and 480 volts.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Due to the nature of this position and the required access to areas where ITAR-controlled articles and/or technical data may be present, candidates must meet the applicable U.S. person requirements for ITAR access. This includes individuals who are:

• A lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder); or
• A protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

This position is 100% onsite in Palm Bay, FL.
