BDS Tire Recycling, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our tire-recycling processing equipment. The role includes performing preventive maintenance and occasionally filling in as a Machine Operator.
Ideal candidates have at least two years of maintenance experience, welding/fabrication skills, and a solid understanding of safety protocols. The position requires physical labor, outdoor work, and adherence to PM programs.
The TPF Equipment Maintenance Technician troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and performs preventative maintenance procedures on equipment used in the recycling of tire material; fills in as a Machine Operator as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or listen, stand, and walk (including prolonged standing and walking), bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, twist, pull, climb, and reach overhead (occasionally) and forward with hands and arms. Full range of physical mobility including stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, carrying, reaching, driving, manual dexterity and repetitive heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds) required. Required to employ safety-related personal protective equipment. Hand and finger dexterity, motor control and eye/hand coordination are needed. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor as needed, including pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying heavy objects.
Special Requirement: Applicants selected for this position must pass a Pre-Employment Physical with Workplace Health before starting work and may be required to pass a “Fit for Duty” exam by Workplace Health from time to time if there are concerns about the employee’s ability to meet the physical requirements of this position.

Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor frequently, including pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying heavy objects. Work involves exposure to hazardous equipment. Work may be frequently performed outdoors with exposure to the elements. Work is occasionally performed at heights on ladders and scaffolding. Varied work hours, including overtime, are common due to the nature of the trade, impact of weather and overall work demands. The position can be stressful and requires ability to successfully cope with the pressures which are related to the position.
