Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Tech, Thin Films in Richardson to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced semiconductor equipment. The role requires strong mechanical and electronic skills, plus ability to read schematics and reports, with day/night shifts on a compressed workweek.

You will collaborate with engineers to improve tools such as ion mills and evaporators, monitor data, and document statuses.

Qualifications

• Two years associate technical degree or equivalent military training.
• Strong mechanical and electronic skills required.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with SPC in manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to stand/walk up to 12 hours and lift 50 lbs; wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fab equipment.
• Improve system performance to meet process requirements and reduce breakdowns.
• Monitor tool data; recommend maintenance improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers on equipment improvements.
• Communicate machine status in daily pass-downs; provide clear written reports.
