Job summary

Peninsula Community Health Services is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist to assist in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and ensuring planned maintenance across multiple locations. You will perform routine maintenance, document activities, and support life safety systems as needed.

The role requires 1–2 years in equipment maintenance, strong facilities knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. Familiarity with FMX or similar facilities management software is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of equipment maintenance experience (preferred).
• Strong general knowledge of facilities including plumbing, lighting, and medical/dental equipment (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license (required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment by performing minor and general routine maintenance activities
• Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
• Maintain regular service for equipment associated with the building, such as security, fire prevention, life safety systems, etc.
• Document and update maintenance, as well as planned maintenance, in facilities management system
• Maintain and repair healthcare equipment within the scope of training
• Assigned call according to organizational needs
• Familiar with using facilities management system software (Ex. FMX)
• Other duties as assigned

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for assisting in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and ensuring planned maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment by performing minor and general routine maintenance activities

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct reports.

Qualifications

• One (1) to two (2) years of equipment maintenance experience (preferred)
• Strong general knowledge of facilities, including plumbing, lighting, and medical/dental equipment (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license (required)

Pay Range: $16.97 - $23.25/hour DOE

Work Environment and Physical Demands

With multiple locations and settings, PCHS’ work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee’s role. Essential job functions include the following: The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
