Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for daily Human Resources functions, including policy/process documentation and organization.
  • Support recruitment initiatives, onboarding, and benefits administration.
  • Conduct salary surveys, affirmative action data input, and OSHA/L&I compliance reporting.
  • Track annual training, conduct exclusion screenings with Corporate Compliance Officer, and maintain HR records.
  • Prepare quarterly HR metrics and maintain employment records for hires, promotions, terminations, and pay changes.
  • Process leaves and accommodations with guidance from the HR Director.
  • Research operating practices for HR Director review.
  • Proficient with HRIS, ATS, Excel, and Word.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing support of the daily functions of the Human Resources Department, to include policy and process documentation and organization, recruitment initiatives, compliance, reporting, compensation surveys, benefit implementations, safety, HRIS utilization, training and development and employee relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruiting including, but not limited to, posting job ads, scheduling interviews, making offers, checking backgrounds and references, tracking pre-hire paperwork, and conducting onboarding and benefits administration
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director
  • Reporting: Complete annual salary surveys and compile salary comparison reports, input affirmative action data, track accident data for OSHA and L&I compliance
  • Track and manage annual training requirements. Perform monthly audit of exclusion screenings list, with the assistance of the Corporate Compliance Officer, to ensure PCHS staff and Board Members are not on state or federal excluded lists
  • Create quarterly HR metrics reports to track trends in hiring, terminations/resignations, and workforce development
  • Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, pay changes, status changes, transfers, and promotions
  • Process all leaves and accommodations with guidance from the HR Director
  • Research operating practices for review by HR Director
  • Proficient in using HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Excel, and Word
  • Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct reports.

Qualifications
  • One to Two years of Customer – related experience (required)
  • Two to five years of HR-related experience (required)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification (preferred) Note: Must have high school diploma or GED to be eligible for exam.
Compensation: $26.72 - 38.10*

*Taking into account education and experience related to the position.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

With multiple locations and settings, PCHS’ work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee’s role. Essential job functions include the following: The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employees may be exposed to mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. The employee must possess a personal cell phone and maintain active service to facilitate secure access to workplace systems and applications via multi-factor authentication.
