Job summary

Peninsula Community Health Services is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Washington state to support pharmacists with dispensing, vaccine preparation, and front‑counter duties. You will handle prescription processing, refills, invoicing, and inventory management across multiple locations.

  • Valid driver’s license (required)
  • Active CPR Certification within 30 days of hire (required)
  • One year of customer service experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Process and fill prescriptions for dispensing under pharmacist supervision
  • Release refills to patients or a patient's agent at a pharmacist's discretion, collect fees, and perform other related front counter tasks
  • Measure appropriate volume of diluent and reconstitute oral preparations under pharmacist supervision
  • Reconstitute and/or prepare vaccines for administration under pharmacist supervision
  • Maintain all prescription records and invoices
  • Assist in inventory management for pharmacy and clinic drug stock: order, receive, and store drug orders, check stock for outdates and recalled drugs, log outdates for destruction and reverse distribution, participate in physical inventory counts
  • Generate and maintain reports and documents
  • Handle non-professional phone calls, such as: price quotes, prescription status updates, refill requests, appointment scheduling and prescription pickup reminders
  • Process prior authorization requests for PCHS Medical staff, reviews EHR for pertinent information, task pharmacist for clinical review
  • Proficient in Athena and EPS
  • Other duties as assigned

The PharmacyTechnician is responsible for assisting in various duties consistent withpharmacy technician licensure.
