The Equipment Maintenance Specialist at our New Jersey facility performs daily maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on sorting equipment to keep operations reliable and efficient.

You will work with onsite teams, maintain records, and uphold safety standards. The compensation range is $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Overview

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing daily maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on sorting equipment and related machinery at a GOFO logistics facility in New Jersey. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports efficient warehouse operations. The specialist works closely with onsite operations teams to address mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain a safe and productive working environment. The compensation range for this position is $21/Hour - $23/Hour, depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and overall fit for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sorting equipment and related warehouse machinery to ensure reliable operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, identify root causes, and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance according to established schedules.
• Inspect, replace, install, and adjust mechanical components to maintain equipment functionality.
• Coordinate with onsite operations teams to respond to unexpected equipment failures and urgent repair needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with equipment safety procedures and company policies during all maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in equipment maintenance, preferably involving sorting systems, logistics automation equipment, or similar machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to independently troubleshoot and perform basic equipment repairs.
• Proficiency in using maintenance tools, replacing mechanical components, and performing basic equipment adjustments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond efficiently to equipment malfunctions.
• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin Chinese for daily workplace coordination.
