Job summary

WM is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance of equipment and manage staff to achieve safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The role includes planning and budgeting maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with Local, State, Federal, and WM requirements, and driving improvements in equipment availability and performance.

The position emphasizes leadership, safety, and timely execution of maintenance tasks, with responsibility for reporting and optimizing maintenance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree,
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 7 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirements).
  • Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversees maintenance activities and staff to keep equipment safe, clean, and in good condition.
  • Plans, budgets, staffs, and implements maintenance initiatives and programs.
  • Promotes a safe work environment in accordance with Corporate and OSHA requirements.
  • Ensures equipment is repaired and returned to service safely and promptly.
  • Monitors metrics: staffing, overtime, PMI scheduling, WCS, spare equipment, parts/inventory management.
  • Generates daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
