J. Irwin Company, Ltd. is seeking an Equipment, Inventory & Procurement Coordinator to manage equipment, tools, inventory, rentals, purchasing, and related documentation for day-to-day operations. This role connects field operations with the office to maintain readiness and cost control.

The position emphasizes organization, proactive problem-solving, and ownership, ensuring crews have what they need and processes stay efficient in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Owns tasks from start to finish with minimal direction.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication with field crews, management, vendors, and office staff.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and other office software.
• Willing to learn new software and company systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of equipment, trucks, trailers, tools, and locations.
• Track equipment movement between jobs and locations.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and related documentation.
• Maintain equipment records and assist with work-order tracking from initial report through completion.
• Track equipment that is out of service and monitor repair status.
• Assist with DOT inspection, registration, and fleet compliance tracking.
• Maintain organized equipment and compliance files.
• Coordinate rental requests and maintain accurate records of rented equipment.
• Track rental movement between projects and project associations.
• Monitor open rentals and advise on returns or transfers.
• Help optimize purchasing, vendor quotes, and pricing terms.
• Assist with pre-job planning to ensure resources are available.
