Job summary

National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) is seeking an Equipment & Facilities Specialist (Seasonal) to support our team with equipment fitting, preparation, and maintenance. You will work hands-on with adaptive equipment, shop tools, and assist with assessments and modifications for participants and staff.

The role helps keep NSCD programs running safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment, including set-up, repairs, and operation of vehicles such as snowmobiles as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move equipment and perform basic repairs.
• Comfort working hands-on with a variety of adaptive equipment and shop tools.
• Willingness to support daily operations in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Support NSCD’s equipment and facilities team with proper fitting, preparation, maintenance, and repairs of adaptive equipment.
• Assist with equipment assessments and modifications as needed.
• Provide technical support to instructors, participants, and volunteers.

Equipment & Facilities Specialist (Seasonal)

Great adaptive programs don’t happen without the right equipment, preparation, and behind-the-scenes support. At NSCD, the right equipment can open the door to new possibilities—and the right person helps make that happen.

As the Equipment and Facilities Specialist , you’ll support NSCD’s equipment and facilities team by helping ensure adaptive equipment is properly fitted, prepared, maintained, repaired, and ready for participants and staff. You’ll work hands-on with a variety of adaptive equipment and shop tools, assist with equipment assessments and modifications, and provide technical support to instructors, participants, and volunteers.

This position plays an important role in keeping NSCD programs running safely and efficiently. You’ll help set up equipment for lessons, perform maintenance and repairs, maintain equipment records, and support daily operations in a fast-paced outdoor environment. The role may also include operating and maintaining snowmobiles and other agency vehicles as needed.
