Job summary

Polar Semiconductor seeks an Equipment Engineer Intern to support documentation and improvement projects for semiconductor equipment. You will work with a highly technical team, building Power BI dashboards and learning maintenance activities. The role focuses on equipment engineering, data reporting, and documentation improvements within a Bloomington, MN setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related semiconductor/manufacturing fields.
• Technical writing skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and information to teams.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop Power BI dashboards using WINSQL data and reporting.
• Collaborate with Equipment Engineers to update or create documentation.
• Learn equipment repairs and daily maintenance activities.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to increase equipment availability and reduce costs.

Equipment Engineer Intern

Employment Type: Temporary - 12- 13 weeks

About the Role

The Equipment Engineering Intern - S upports the documentation and improvement projects for Equipment Maintenance . This role will focus on s emiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, Power BI, and working within a highly technical team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with WINSQL database and reporting to develop Power BI dashboards .
• Working with Equipment Engineers to improve existing documentation or put new documentation in place.
• Gain firsthand knowledge of equipment repairs and improvements (daily maintenance activities, installs , CIP projects).
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve equipment availability, reduce cost , and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other duties, as assigned .

Qualifications

• Students working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or other semiconductor/manufacturing related fields.
• Technical writing skills.
• Ability to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other individuals and teams.
• Strong attention to detail including analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills .
• MS Office capabilities .

What We Offer :

• Salary : $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
• Benefits & Other Eligible Compensation : Includes 401(k) plan and paid time off.
