Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, LLC is seeking an Equipment Engineer Intern in Bloomington, MN for a 12-13 week on-site program. The role focuses on equipment engineering, Power BI, and documentation within a highly technical team.

You will work with WINSQL to develop Power BI dashboards, support documentation updates, and gain hands-on experience with equipment repairs and continuous improvement projects in semiconductor manufacturing.

About the Role

The Equipment Engineering Intern - Supports the documentation and improvement projects for Equipment Maintenance. This role will focus on semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, Power BI, and working within a highly technical team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with WINSQL database and reporting to develop Power BI dashboards.
• Working with Equipment Engineers to improve existing documentation or put new documentation in place.
• Gain firsthand knowledge of equipment repairs and improvements (daily maintenance activities, installs, CIP projects).
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve equipment availability, reduce cost, and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Students working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or other semiconductor/manufacturing related fields.
• Technical writing skills.
• Ability to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other individuals and teams.

What We Offer:

Salary: $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job‑related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
