Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN, is offering an Equipment Engineering Intern role to support documentation and improvement projects for Equipment Maintenance. The internship focuses on semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, Power BI, and collaboration within a highly technical team.

You will work with WINSQL to develop dashboards and help refine equipment documentation, gaining hands-on exposure to repairs and CIP projects while driving efficiency gains across the maintenance

Qualifications

• Students working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or other semiconductor/manufacturing related fields.
• Technical writing skills.
• Ability to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other individuals and teams.
• Strong attention to detail including analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office capabilities.

Responsibilities

About The Role

The Equipment Engineering Intern - Supports the documentation and improvement projects for Equipment Maintenance. This role will focus on semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, Power BI, and working within a highly technical team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with WINSQL database and reporting to develop Power BI dashboards.
• Working with Equipment Engineers to improve existing documentation or put new documentation in place.
• Gain firsthand knowledge of equipment repairs and improvements (daily maintenance activities, installs, CIP projects).
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve equipment availability, reduce cost, and improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other duties, as assigned.

What We Offer

Salary: $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
